In this calligraphy workshop, students will use pointed pens - the old fashioned kind with metal nibs and ink wells - first warming up with practice of how letters are Monogram DLRformed and then working with all upper case letters with emphasis on creativity in combining letters to make your own monogram, using your own strengths and style. Students will leave the class with a hand-scripted monogram with their own calligraphy - great for getting your own stationery made, a rubber stamp, or for use for a wedding or other invitations. Beginner, intermediate and advanced students are all welcome. All papers, inks, and pens will be provided for use during the class or students may bring their own tools.
