I’ve always loved to make art. Printmaking has been my passion since I first discovered it as an elective my freshman year of undergraduate school (my intended major was sculpture). I was hooked. I graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Printmaking and Book Arts and my heart has been that of a printmaker ever since.
After graduating in 1994 I was drawn to the unmatched beauty of the Pacific Northwest and made it my home where I find endless inspiration for my art.
Art has truly saved my soul and my sanity. Up until the very end of 2023 I had been the full time caregiver for my profoundly autistic adult son who has intermitted explosive disorder, intellectual disability and OCD as well. Trevor is currently living (and thriving) in an intermediate care facility which has given me time to take care of myself.
In May of 2024 the Seattle Monorail Services in conjunction with the City of Seattle and the City’s Office of Economic Development feature my linocut art on 19 of the columns from the city's beloved monorail.
Giving back to the community and sharing my passion for art (especially printmaking) is an integral part of my life.
Art is my Sanctuary and is vital to my mental health and existence.
