Wit & Pepper

Angela Montgomery

Angela Montgomery is the Seattle area artist behind Wit & Pepper. Originally from the Midwest, Angela studied painting, metalsmithing, and enameling prior to receiving a Bachelors in Studio Arts.

She spent the next decade in Phoenix, surrounded and being influenced by the beauty of the desert. There she continued to paint and work in metals.

In 2013, she moved to Seattle, furthering her work in metals, but one thing that was missing was her love of color. Angie stumbled upon polymer clay in early 2019 and hasn’t looked back. Each lightweight piece is made of individual clay colors that are conditioned, blended and layered to create color stories before being cut and finished in small batches, sometimes only resulting in 5-10 pairs of earrings. Each piece is a uniquely different piece of wearable art.
